Nerudova Street
The steep street up to the castle, its houses named by signs: two suns, three fiddles, a golden horseshoe.
0.7 km
St Nicholas Church
The finest baroque church in Prague, with a green dome over the Lesser Town; Mozart played its organ in 1787.
1.6 km
Kampa
An island in the Vltava, cut off by the Devil's Stream, with a park, a mill wheel and a quiet view of the bridge.
3.0 km
Petřín Lookout Tower
A little Eiffel Tower on the hill above the Lesser Town, built in 1891: 299 steps to the widest view of Prague.
Lesser Town and Petřín
The Lesser Town is the Prague of palaces and gardens tucked under the castle. We start on its square, climb Nerudova Street to read the house signs, then wind down past the Lennon Wall to Kampa island.
The last part goes uphill through the orchards of Petřín to the lookout tower, where the walk ends with the whole city below you. If your knees prefer, the funicular is a short detour.
On the way

- Kampa island and the Devil's Stream
